Enlargement and shaping of the buttocks with the BBL operation, which we also call fat transfer to the butt, is performed with excess adipose tissue taken from the abdomen, belly, back and thighs of the patient. The applied liposuction minimally disturbs the local tissues, especially the connective tissue layer. The collected fat is then injected into the relevant body area of the gluteal region through a thin cannula inserted through a small surgical incision that creates a short and narrow scar. Lipoinjection, contouring and augmentation with the patient's own body fat eliminates the possibility of tissue rejection and is physically less risky than hip-implant surgery. In addition, the removal of the patient's excess body fat by liposuction improves the aesthetic appearance of body fat donor areas. [8] Physiologically, however, the normal health management chemistry of the human body absorbs (breaks down and eliminates) some of the injected adipose tissue and can therefore reduce the increase. At the end of 1 year, the transferred fat tissues are absorbed by 60% and disappear.
Depending on the appearance requested by the patient, the butt can gain volume from the sides or it can be applied only to create a buttock curve. The main thing here is the request of the patient. Since it is combined with liposuction surgery, all of the applications recommended after liposuction surgery are also valid for the BBL operation. The operation takes an average of 3 hours. After the surgery, the patient should use the body corset and butt pillow for 6 weeks. Since liposuction will be performed on the body, performing lymph drainage massage 1-2 times a week for 6 weeks, if possible, will help the recovery in order to facilitate the discharge of the accumulated fluid.
BBL operation does not remove the appearance of cellulite in the butt area. It should be noted that it is made to volumize and/or shape the butt. The patient can return to work approximately 10 days after the operation and can do his daily work comfortably. After 2 months, he can start light sports activities.
